The mission of UCI APAMSA is several-fold:
Ø To represent Asian Pacific Americans as a group within the health care community at UCI.
Ø To be a resource for information on matters related to Asian Pacific Amercian health care with regard to unique challenges, obstacles and responsibilities.
Ø To provide a forum for discussion of issues concerning Asian Pacific Americans in health care.
Ø To provide a link between students and faculty of Asian Pacific American background.
Ø To provide opportunities for Asian Pacific American medical students to give back to their community through service
Ø To promote awareness to the general health care community of the specific medical needs of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders
